Cervelo and Santa Cruz Are Now in Canoga Park

Two brands landed on our floor this summer that change what you can buy in the West Valley without getting on the freeway. Cycle World Bike is now an authorized Cervelo dealer and an authorized Santa Cruz dealer. Add those to Giant, Liv, Electra, Aventon and Pure Cycle, and we are the only shop in the West Valley carrying all of it under one roof.
That sentence took sixty years to earn, so let us explain what it actually means for you.
Why Cervelo, and why now
When Serious Cycling in Northridge closed, the Valley lost its premium road shop. Riders who had spent years building a relationship with a shop that understood race fit, aero position and carbon service suddenly had two options: drive over the hill, or order a frame online and hope.
Neither is a good option. A road bike at this level is not a box you open. Bar height, saddle setback, stem length and crank length all have to be dialed to your body, and none of that happens in a warehouse. Cervelo builds bikes that reward that attention. The R5 climbs, the S5 cuts wind, the Caledonia handles rough Valley pavement without punishing you, the Aspero goes where the pavement ends, and the P5 is a purpose-built triathlon machine.
We carry 61 Cervelo models right now, from the Caledonia 105 at $3,300 to the S5 Ultegra Di2 at $10,100, plus framesets for riders who want to build from scratch. Every one gets assembled, torqued and fitted here before it goes home.
Why Santa Cruz
Mountain bikers in Canoga Park have had the same problem from the other direction. The nearest Santa Cruz dealer meant a canyon drive, and buying a $6,000 trail bike sight unseen is a gamble on geometry you have never thrown a leg over.
Santa Cruz earns its price on the parts of ownership nobody puts in the ad copy: a lifetime frame warranty, lifetime bearings, and a pivot design that survives real riding. We stock 108 models across the range. The Hightower is the do-everything trail bike. The Bronson and Nomad go longer and rowdier. The Blur and Highball are for people who race or want to. What being an authorized dealer actually gets you
The phrase gets thrown around, so here is the practical version. Authorized means we can honor the frame warranty without you arguing with a call center. It means we can order the exact rear derailleur hanger for your model instead of guessing at a universal part. It means Brian has built these frames before and knows the torque spec for a carbon seat clamp, which is the difference between a bike that lasts and a very expensive repair.
It also means the bike is assembled by a person, not shipped in a box for you to finish on your kitchen floor. Professional assembly runs $80 to $300 depending on the build. It is not free, and we would rather be honest about that than pretend, because it is real work by a real mechanic and it is the reason your bike still shifts cleanly in year three.
One shop, $650 to $10,100
Here is what we think is genuinely useful about the new lineup: you can compare across it in one visit. A family can look at a Giant Talon 24 at $650 for a kid and a Cervelo Caledonia for a parent in the same twenty minutes. A rider moving up from a hardtail can put a Giant Talon next to a Santa Cruz Hightower and feel the difference instead of reading about it.
